Wanted was at the vanguard of Australian fashion-footwear when it opened it's first store in 1979, (trading then as Sacopelle). The first store was situated in Sydney's Town Hall Arcade. The quality fashion range, and affordable pricing, made it a favourite amongst Sydney women.

The company soon expanded, and continued to grow throughout the Eighties and Nineties in Sydney. Now with fifteen boutiques, the quality, fun ecclectic style and range diversity within an affordable price-range, has kept Wanted a step ahead of footwear-fashion over the past three decades.
